Exhibition 01: Diáthesis

Exhibition 01: Diáthesis

With a careful selection of architects and artists from Guadalajara, reflection of the architectural plurality this city undergoes today, the exhibition "Diáthesis"  that will open soon intends to be, in the words of its curator, Jorge Tejeda, an X-ray of what is currently being produced there.

A showing that exhibits the incorporation of construction languages, materials, and processes, but with one special detail: all of them as mockups.

We tried to choose a neutral format (mockup) to encourage architects to develop a better selection of the works to be presented –Jorge Tejeda

The invited lecturers are considered to be among the best architects from this city in Jalisco and they currently produce with high quality, which improves year after year.

Among the participants, most of them architects, five visual artists were considered to present contrapuntal pieces, all of them with clear references to architecture.

A general tour is proposed, where the spectator will witness each of the works exhibited, of varied typologies, from homes, shops, equipment, to more abstract, institutional projects or sketches, which will never be made.

The visual artists who were considered are Emanuel Tovar, Gonzalo Lebrija, Javier M. Rodríguez, Karian Amaya, and Luis Alfonso Villalobos.
