22 countries united by art


Zona Maco is back at Centro Citibanamex from February 6th through the 10th. This year, the 16th edition of ZM’s Contemporary Art and the 9th of ZM’s Design will take place.


Latin America’s most important art fair welcomes 22 countries from America, Europe, and Asia, offering over 180 galleries and exhibitors. A lecture program is added to the exhibition, also an area for specialized publications and publishing houses will be available, other activities will take place in the city’s galleries and museums and in Zona Maco’s book section.

More than 60,000 attendees are expected for this edition, which will be divided into the following sections:

General section

The largest in the fair, galleries will boast paintings, sculptures, graphics, installations, photographs, videos, and new media; some of them are:

Zona Maco Design

As it does every year, it includes collection pieces and limited editions of furniture and decoration accessories, which were made from 1960 to this day.

Zona Maco South

Continuing with last year’s topic, “The logic of materials”, the bet for this edition is stated as a new way of taking the art world’s temperature focusing on the idea of what’s performative, but as an indicator of the increasingly growing interest shown by young artists that add performance to their work.
